Jury and Selection Procedure

CALL4Europe Jury

The CALL4Europe jury will decide which projects will get a doubling donation.

Members of the CALL4Europe jury:

  • Dr. Franz Fischler – former EU commissioner, member of the Senior Advisory Board of Respekt.net
  • Dr. Irmgard Griss – former president of the Austrian Supreme Court, member of the Senior Advisory Board of Respekt.net
  • Dr. Wolfgang Petritsch – former ambassador and former High Representative of the EU in Bosnia, member of the Senior Advisory Board of Respekt.net
  • Franz Karl Prüller – chairman of the board of ERSTE Foundation
  • Dr. Heide Schmidt – former Austrian parliamentarian, member of the Senior Advisory Board of Respekt.net
  • Johannes Voggenhuber – former EU parliamentarian, member of the Senior Advisory Board of Respekt.net

Selection Procedure for Projects

In a first step all projects have to be submitted for crowdfunding on www.respekt.net and fulfil the requirements of the platform. When a project applies for the project call in the course of its submission, a monitoring process is initiated to check whether the project conditions are fully met. If the check was successful, the project will be visibly labelled as participant of the project call. There is no legal entitlement to the admission for the project call.

During the first month of the crowdfunding-phase the jury will assess the projects. There is no legal entitlement to the awarding of the doubling donation.

Decision criteria

The decision criteria are an aid to orientation for the jury and the project initiators. The final decision, however, lies with the jury.

  • compliance with the given questions of the call
    content quality of the project formulation
  • definition of the target group
  • visibility (PR campaign)
  • considerations about cooperation
  • socio-political impact
  • Europe-wide usability or transferability of the project
  • success of crowdfunding on www.respekt.net within the first month
  • number of mobilized fans on www.respekt.net
